TicklePedia - Tickling
Why do we do this? Why do we allow ourselves to be tied up, helpless and at the mercy of people who have no intention of granting it until they are satisfied? I suspect the answer is different for us all so all I can do here is to give you my own opinions. How much value they are to you only you can decide.
First and foremost, being tickled can be very pleasurable. Everyone prefers different styles and force, from none at all through gentle sweeps of fingernails to an all-out assault. Myself, it’s definitely gentle sweeps of nails against flesh. That can feel wonderful, a constant stream of sensations forcing the body to giggle and laugh, twist and turn, while staying on the right side of fun. It’s a delightful feeling, a constant mix of shivers and laughter. But this isn’t the main reason why I submit myself to the hands (and other body parts) of ticklers.
The main reason, quite simply, is I delight in seeing the pleasure on the face of those I play with. There’s nothing quite like it, being tied down and tormented, your own body betraying you, looking up and seeing a laughing, delighted face above you. Eyes shining, fingers flying, often laughing themselves at the sensations and reactions they’re pulling from you there are few sights more exhilarating, more erotic and more addictive than that of a ‘ler in full flight.
Of course there’s the other end of the scale too, when tickling goes from gentle to assault and you just want to gnaw off your own limbs. Then it becomes far less fun and occasionally becomes something that simply pisses you off. In those circumstances, with anger rising and your body insisting that you either fly or fight, then it becomes something else entirely. Then you either end the session if the anger threatens to overwhelm you or you endure.
Why endure? Because then it becomes something more than simply trusting someone to ensure you’re okay. It becomes an opportunity for you to give something back to your ‘ler, to give them the gift of your acceptance of their wishes, to submit to their desires even if it is more than you would choose to endure in an ideal world. It is, for that one moment, becoming theirs in body and soul. It may mean nothing in the long run but for that moment… you’re theirs. And that can be the most wonderful, liberating feeling in the world, especially when you see the smile on their face, the gleam in their eyes and know that they accept and appreciate that submission.
