Tickle Brits will be holding one of its regular munches in Birmingham on the 21st of December from 15:00 to 19:00.

The munch provides a friendly, welcoming environment to meet your fellow community members and talk about anything and everything that comes to mind. From football to tickling, every topic and opinion is welcome. The venue is just a few minutes from Birmingham New Street and Moor Street mainline train stations with parking available close by. There is no charge to attend the munch and dress code is casuals so please do not wear fetish clothing as the venue is open to the general public.

The venue is a pub which is usually nearly deserted around this time so we should have no problem finding a space away from everyone else. However it does mean that discussion of specific tickling-related subjects may have to be kept to a minimum if things are very busy. They will, as far as we know, be serving food as well as drink so you should be able to eat there if you wish.

We regret to say that the venue is not wheelchair accessible and there are several steep steps that must be negotiated to gain access. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

There is, however, a reason that we've picked this day and time for what we hope will be the first of many regular munches in Birmingham. This is the same day as the BBB or Birmingham Bizarre Bazaar. The BBB is a highly regarded fetish fair held in the Nightingale Club and offers a wide range of vendors catering for every taste (well, nearly). A wide range of bondage equipment, clothing and other fetish toys are on offer and it's a very friendly place. It costs £5 to get in and you can wear pretty much anything you like. There is also a monthly demo, which in December should be a performance piece entitled RoboDomme 3000. The demo normally starts between 13:30 and 14:00 and runs for about an hour so we're trying to time the munch to be almost immediately after that as, from past experience, that's normally the point that the need for food becomes urgent.

There is also the BBB after-party held from 17:00 to 23:00. This costs £10 to enter and continues the friendly, welcoming theme of the BBB with opportunities to play on the equipment as well as socalise.

The theory is that those who want to come along to the munch can do just that while for those who wish they can make a full day of it and take advantage of the BBB and / or BBB after party as well. Speaking as someone who only recently attended their first BBB I'd recommend going along. It's fascinating to see the range of products on offer and if you've got even a slightest interest in bondage, BDSM or fetish clothing you'll almost certainly find something to drool over. The demos are also well worth attending, well, normally they are, let's see what the December one ends up being... Another advantage for us is that the venue we're using for the munch is regularly visited by BBB attendees so they shouldn't bat an eyelid at us.

We're hoping to make this a monthly event if there's enough interest and providing at least one person from this site is going along to host. We'd love to see you there and hope as many of you as possible can make it.

Oh, I almost forgot, we'll be bringing along our new munch mascot to make it easier for you to spot us in the rather large pub... If that's not reason enough to come along and see us I don't know what is
