A new addition to the UKTF forums is a dedicated space for our members to suggest, debate and organise social gatherings. This is intended as another step towards allowing members to meet, get to know each other and form relationships without having to rely on more formal, organised events such as munches and gatherings.

The only rule for a social event is that it should not be tickle-orientated. There are plenty of other ways to organise tickle events. This gives our members free reign to setup whatever events they like and put out requests if they’re going to be in an area they don’t know and want some company or advice on what to do with a free evening. And of course people can agree to meetings in the knowledge that it is purely a social event without the added pressure of being expected to play.

Events can be as simple as going for a pint down the local pub or organising a cross-continent road-trip complete with Top Gear-style challenges en-route. We suspect that the majority of the events organised will be more towards the pint at the pub end of the scale with cinema trips, nights out and gigs dominating but we’d love to be wrong.

We’re very excited to introduce this section and are really looking forward to seeing how this all develops. Of course, it’s only through our members making use of this part of the site that it’ll grow so why not join up and drop in to see what’s on?
