  1. *Ice Cubes - Ice cubes can cause a very intense sensation, especially in a warm room and against hot flesh. For some this can be a very strong ticklish sensation, for others it’s closer to burning (albeit a cold burn). If you’re going to try them then go easy the first time, don’t leave them pressed directly against flesh for more than a few seconds at a time and remember they are going to melt pretty quickly so make sure whatever your partner is lying on or standing over won’t be ruined if it gets wet.

  1. *Itching Powder - Don’t, just don’t. This is one of those products that has been suggested in tickling stories for a while but in a real world scenario is often more trouble than it’s worth and can actually be quite painful, especially if used improperly. If you are going to use it be very careful and read up on how to use it properly and how to relieve the effects if required.

  1. *Steak Tenderiser - This is basically a mallet with a diamond pattern cut in one or both ends of the mallet. It is NOT used for striking but for dragging (gently) across the skin, most often the soles of the feet. It also has a very powerful psychological presence as there’s no doubt it would do serious damage if used as designed. They’re also very cheap with some supermarkets offering wood versions for just a couple of pounds. If you want to go for something fancier then there are metal versions but make sure that you test the points on yourself first to make sure they’re not too sharp for use on your partner.

  1. *Compressed Air Duster - Most commonly used to blow away dust from areas where normal vacuum cleaners can’t be used and cloths won’t reach these things blow a cold jet of air through a narrow nozzle which can cause a pretty intense reaction. If you’re going to use one, do NOT use it more than a few seconds at a time and keep the can the right way up as the liquid inside the can can freeze and cause damage to the skin if used improperly. Again, the best advice is to try it on yourself first to get a feel for how much you can use it safely.
